Several entrepreneurial efforts over the last decade have demonstrated that systemic change is possible in schools (see http://hbswk.hbs.edu/item/6217.html). The challenge is not figuring out what works, but taking what has been proven to work and scaling it. Innovate+Educate uses a “venture educationalist™” approach to investing in promising new models that have the potential to be effective for any population of students, in any individual school or district. We support entrepreneurial education leaders inside the current education system and outside of it with thought leadership, resources and the global knowledge of our board members and partners in seeking out best practices, testing and researching these to build a case for education transformation that can scale.
