About New Options New Mexico
Led by Innovate+Educate, New Options New Mexico is part of a national initiative funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation that helps young adults gain marketable skills and build bridges to employers who are eager for a more prepared workforce. With our expertise in piloting new models and aligning partners across segments, we are creating a paradigm shift across the state by demonstrating the value of hiring based on skills and not solely on degree.
Business First Workforce Training Conference November 2011
On November 7th, 8th & 9th New Options New Mexico (funded by W. K. Kellogg) and the Department of Workforce Solutions convened the “Business First” Conference at the Tamaya Resort in Albuquerque. Joined by Intel and Monster, over 120 people from across the state workforce system came together to discuss solutions and action plans for moving forward the adoption of a skills-based hiring strategy across the State of New Mexico. The conference opened with a call to action from the New Mexico Secretary of Workforce, Celina Bussey and Jami Grindatto from Intel Corporation. The City of Albuquerque was a key participant throughout the event. Below you will find PDFs of each presentation.
