Bryan Maach, Managing Director of Career Solutions, ACT

Bryan Maach is ACT's Managing Director of Career Solutions. In this role, Bryan and his team are focused on driving broad adoption of meaningful competency and skill base credentials that enable individuals to advance their career options and employers to hire and develop talent with confidence. As a result of this effort, ACT intends to significantly extend the global reach of its 50+ year mission to help people achieve education and workplace success.

Prior to joining ACT, Bryan was Vice President of Market Research & Analysis at Cisco Systems where he established the company's first formal market intelligence and data analytics function. Bryan began his career at IBM, where he held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in market intelligence and marketing strategy. By the time he left, he had built the company's Asia Pacific market intelligence team, driven the geography's first $20B business plan, and became the company's youngest Vice President with global responsibilities in its Worldwide Sales and Distribution arm.

But what really drives Bryan's work is a passion for helping people realize their full potential and purpose. Whether through leadership of giving back programs, serving on non-profit boards, or acting as a mentor and coach to aspiring professionals, Bryan takes deep personal satisfaction in helping others succeed and realize their dreams.

Outside of work, Bryan nurtures his passion for motorcycles, movies, travel, and any outdoor activity requiring power tools. Bryan holds a B.S. in Psychology from Iowa State University and a M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Bowling Green State University. He resides in Coralville, Iowa with his wife Amy and their three children.
